My work is a reaction to and meditation on the tempest of the inner landscape. Sourcing elements tied to cycles from North Florida’s subtropical sphere of shifting winds, warm rains, water, celestial cycles, and lush flora, these natural phenomena become symbols of expression related to mental health, spirituality, and physical presence. Central to my practice is drawing; its immediacy and adaptability help manifest internal ephemera into visual language. Each mark, pattern, and representation carries symbolic weight, shaping a hazy eye to observe those clandestine landscapes.
